What do you feed your reptiles?

For my gecko, I currently breed meal worms, stick insects, and grasshoppers, and occasionally buy crickets. She gets about three to four grasshoppers/crickets and a few meal worms throughout the week.

My gargoyle gecko gets crested gecko diet. I doubt my neighbors would appreciate escaped bugs.

I don't know anything about geckos (other than they seem to be super interesting) but don't each type of gecko have their own diet for health reason? wouldn't it be better to get a crested gecko if you're going to feed that diet? /curious.

They're the same genus, different species. I did a lot of research before buying her-- gargoyles have very similar care requirements to cresteds, but tend to be more friendly. And I have a reptile because I have allergies to everything under the sun (furry pet = asking for trouble) so I wanted something that wouldn't mind interacting. The pet store fed her the same stuff. (OK, the gave her the occasional cricket). The package also indicates it's appropriate for all fruit eating geckos. (If it wasn't meal replacement diet, it would be gut loaded insects and human baby food.)

Oh cool, I didn't know that about their 'closeness' (I tell you my awareness of geckos is small XD), and thanks for all that info, I was just surprised you mentioned that it was the other gecko type of alimentation thus my questioning =)

I don't mind you double checking that I'm not accidentally killing my pet. ;) I probably should've said "Repeshay diet" but I didn't want to sound like stuck up breeder.

Well in a way I'm really happy you didn't say 'repeshay diet' since I would have had no idea what that means and I would have had to google it, it's way easier to just ask, today is my lazy day in regards to google ;)

I buy frozen fuzzy mice & large rats from my local pet store for my sand boa & my boa constrictors. (IDK what I'm going to do next year when I move to a much smaller town... If they don't have a suitable local pet store, I guess I will probably start buying mail-order in bulk.)
